My next review for WYCE 88.1FM is on Christopher Andrus
The debut of the 7 song self-produced EP, The Glass Man, falls into the “singer-songwriter” or “adult contemporary” categories. Piano and keyboard are prominently featured, lyrical content focuses mainly on love and relationships, with elements of christian contemporary themes making their way in occasionally. Christopher Andrus is formerly of Bless You Boys, a popular Grand Rapids based band
Best Track: Track #2 The Glass Man incorporates some interesting digital music elements.
Other points of interest: Christopher Andrus is formerly of Bless You Boys, a popular Grand Rapids based band.
Track #4 Pick Me Up has a great line “all you people just find new evils, when all the old ones become too wholesome” as the songwriter examines his faith in God in the context of our current popular culture.
Who would like this disc: Fans of Bless You Boys, piano/keyboard players, aspiring songwriters looking for a good example of how to write songs with a more sensitive expression
