Ra Ra Riot

My next review for WYCE 88.1FM is on Ra Ra Riot

The ten track album The Orchard by Seattle WA based Ra Ra Riot released in 2010 is their 2nd release. Articulate songwriting and composition of the album call to mind Belle and Sebastian. Some of the instrumentation is very reminiscent of earlier works by The Cure. Mildly quirky, intellectual tunes make for an upbeat listening experience.

Best tracks: track # 3 TOO DRAMATIC, track # 5 MASSACHUSETTS

Other Interesting points: IFC has posted an exclusive video premiere: Behind Ra Ra Riot’s “The Orchard”.

Who would like this: Fans of The Hard Lesson’s album Forest Arms, fans of Belle and Sebastian, The Cure, Radiohead
