WYCE music review- FUN – Aim and Ignite

My next music review for WYCE 88.1FM is on Fun

Label: Nettwerk

Aim and Ignite by the three piece band Fun is an epic soundscape bolstered by a roster of 19 supporting musicians sprinkled across the albums 10 tracks. Expansive, elaborate, and dramatic arrangements add up to the larger than life feel of the album. The music is part Broadway musical meets Elton John, with a touch of Paul Simon meets Vampire Weekend. Often the vocals are eerily reminiscent of Freddie Mercury.

Best Tracks: #3 ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS, #7 WALKING THE DOG

FCC Naughty List: NONE

Who would like this cd: fans of Paul Simon, Vampire Weekend, Scissor Sisters
